How Does SLI Technology Work?
Using proprietary software algorithms and dedicated scalability logic in each NVIDIA graphics processing unit (GPU) and MCP, NVIDIA SLI technology delivers up to twice the performance of a single graphics solution. Now with support for three GeForce 9800 GTX or two 9800 GX2 GPUs on an nForce 790, you can get up to 2.8X performance increase over a single GPU.
