What is the LocalCover warranty?
LocalCover is a brand new, global warranty service. LocalCover aims to make dealing with any covered faults in a product that you bought from another country as easy as if you had bought the product from a local retailer.
Can I cancel the warranty? Yes, you can cancel the warranty at any time provided you have not had a claim accepted. If you cancel within the cooling-off period of 30 days, you will receive a full refund. Please contact Newegg directly. Outside that period you will receive a pro-rata refund as described more fully in the LocalCover Warranty terms and conditions. How do I register the LocalCover Warranty? You will receive an email within 24 hours of the product being shipped with warranty details and a link to create your LocalCover profile and register your LocalCover Warranty. Registration is necessary, so your product and all your relevant personal details can be verified so that you can be contacted regarding the warranty, and so that you can make a claim. Registration can be completed any time before or at the time of making a claim. How do I make a claim? Go to your LocalCover profile 24/7 using the link we provided by email when you made your purchase, and follow the very easy process provided for you. If you have lost that link, you can go to www.localcover.com/customer and use the email address you used when you purchased your product with LocalCover Warranty. Who pays the costs of shipping my product to or from a repairer? Because LocalCover can apply to almost any product, in some cases, you may be asked to take your product to a repair location, and in others, we will arrange courier collection and return at our cost. When you choose the convenience of delivering the product to our repairer for assessment or repair, it will be at your cost. When we arrange on-site repairs or collection and return, it will be at our cost. How are product faults assessed? Product faults are assessed by our authorized repairers, usually at their premises, but depending upon the nature of your product, potentially at your location. What if my product cannot be removed from my location for assessment? We will try to assess your product at your location, subject to safety and other relevant considerations. What am I covered for? The product will be assessed, and if it has a fault that is covered by the LocalCover Warranty, your product will be repaired, replaced with an identical product, or (if you agree) replaced with an equivalent product, or the purchase price will be refunded in full.
